Robinson Rouse CR 840

Robinson Rouse CR840

Dale from Maryland USA sent these pictures of his Robinson Rouse CR840 digger which he is restoring. Dale has found out that the company was subject of an interesting court case http://georgia-court-appeals.vlex.com/vid/robinson-v-the-state-20444038 and was declared bankrupt after building a number of backhoes.

In 2009 another Robinson Rouse was spotted for sale which had a 6 hp motor and was in excellent working condition. That one was built in North Carolina in January of 86 and the mod number was 186-002.

This American machine is very similar to the UK built Mantis or Benford ME130 diggers in its design. The interesting difference being the use of solid rubber tyres on the site wheels. No need to worry about punctures with them.
