Dobwalls roundabout

New roundabout to the West of Dobwalls. Here the A38 will meet the A390. The roundabout will hopefully keep traffic moving.

Dobwalls bypass

Main section of dual carriageway which has been built around the Northern edge of the village. This links with the Liskeard by-pass at Moorswater.

Dobwalls by-pass bat bridge

This curious structure is a bat bridge. Bats will apparently be able to use it to fly across the dual carriageway. I hope they do as it has cost a shedload of taxpayers money.

Bridge from feeder road

New bridge to allow traffic from Moorswater Industrial Estate to cross the dual carriageway and return in the driection of Plymouth.

CAT 725 ADT. A number of these have been used for the muck shifting by John Jones contractors. Coles Plant also provided the largest machines.

CAT 725 dump truck

Rear view of the CAT 725

CAT sheepsfoot dozer. This is parked up but will be used to compact the layers of soil when the railway tunnel is backfilled.

CAT 16H grader belonging to John Jones. This has been used to keep the haul roads tidied up and for preparing the main carriageway.

Local contractors Minerva have had a number of machines on site. This is their CAT 312C Excavator.
